The Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission (PVSC) was established in 1902 and is comprised of 48 municipalities spanning five New Jersey counties. They have one of the largest service areas in the Eastern US, providing collection services for approximately 1.4 million residents, hundreds of businesses, and serviced by a 300 MGD treatment plant.
Insituform recently completed the rehabilitation of a large-diameter trunk sewer in the Patterson and Clifton, New Jersey area for the Sewerage Commission as part of a large trenchless rehabilitation project. While some of the sewers were rehabilitated by conventional sliplining using centrifugally cast fiberglass reinforced polymer mortar (CCFRPM) pipe by the general contractor, one difficult section was rehabilitated using Insituform® cured-in-place pipe (CIPP).
A comprehensive technical presentation will be given at the upcoming 2019 No-Dig show in Chicago, IL.
