Bonners Ferry is in the scenic panhandle of northern Idaho, nestled between the Selkirk and Cabinet mountains just below the Canadian border. It was founded in the late 1800s by gold miners, and today is the home to over 2,500 residents. Central to Bonners Ferry is the Kootenai River, which runs north beginning in Montana and making its way to British Columbia. The River is the source of many recreational activities and is home to many prized trout species.
