Colorado Fusible PVC® pipe installations increase

Municipalities, consulting engineers and contractors throughout Colorado have recognized the benefits of Fusible PVC^® pipe, particularly in trenchless applications where installation costs can be reduced in water, wastewater and reuse water pipeline projects. Many communities in the state are increasingly reluctant to dig up relatively new streets, sidewalks and driveways in order to rehabilitate or replace pipelines. Fortunately, soil conditions throughout much of Colorado are favorable for pipe bursting and horizontal directional drilling (HDD). Numerous utilities now evaluate trenchless installation methods during the design phase of pipeline projects to determine if social impact to local residents can be minimized. In many cases, trenchless installation is the least disruptive and most economical solution.
