Artesian_Water_Turns_To_Fusible_PVC_Pipe_For_Wetlands_Crossings

The Artesian Water Company has served Delaware communities for over 110 years. Its goal is to provide the highest quality water at the lowest possible cost. It currently operates nearly 1,300 miles of water mains and serves over 86,500 customers.

Within Artesian’s service area, there are many environmentally sensitive locations including wetlands, rivers, creeks and tidal areas. Although installing and maintaining pipelines in these areas is challenging, the horizontal directional drilling (HDD) installation methodology has provided the most efficient way to responsibly cross such areas while minimizing negative environmental impacts. Over the years, Artesian has used HDD methodology with great success.
