President, Energy Services
Rick serves as President of Aegion Energy Services. Aegion Energy Services provides construction, maintenance and turnaround services to the oil & gas industry. Its principal companies include AllSafe, Brinderson and Schultz. He has 30 years of experience in the petroleum refining industry, including a 15-year career with Valero Energy Corporation where he held senior leadership positions in engineering, construction, industrial maintenance and reliability and served as the corporate liaison in the development of Valero’s Turnaround Excellence Process. Prior to Valero, Rick held operational leadership positions with UMA Engineers & Constructors and Ultramar Diamond Shamrock Refining Co. Rick holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in engineering & construction management from California State University – Long Beach and holds a State of California General Contracting License (General Engineering).
Dave McCarthy
Chief Financial Officer, Energy Services
Mr. McCarthy has more than 40 years of experience in finance in senior level positions. As Chief Financial Officer, he oversees the accounting and financial operations, inclusive of information systems, for the Aegion Energy Services platform. He focuses on bottom-line profitability and aligning financial goals with strategic and operational objectives. Prior to joining Aegion Energy Services, Mr. McCarthy served in various financial roles for D.R. McCarthy & Associates, RSK Enterprises, and private equity portfolio companies. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Stanford University and a B.A. from Princeton University.
Rhett Dixon
Vice President, Brinderson, and AllSafe Services
Mr. Dixon has more than 28 years of maintenance, turnaround, construction, and operations management experience in the oil & gas industry. He joined the company in 2017 and is currently responsible for all operations for Brinderson and AllSafe Services throughout the company. He was recently General Manager of Operations for Brinderson where he oversaw all operations in the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain Regions. Prior to that, he held management positions with Matrix Service Inc. and Brown and Root Industrial Services.
Kevin Rippee
Senior Vice President, Operations, Energy Services
Kevin has 16 years of experience working in the oil & gas industry managing construction, maintenance, turnaround and safety services. As Senior Vice President of Operations, he is responsible for all Schultz and AllSafe USA projects throughout the company. He was recently Vice President of Northwest Operations for Aegion Energy Services where he oversaw all projects in northern California and the Pacific Northwest. Project execution, project performance, client satisfaction, safety, quality and financial outcome are paramount to his responsibility. He also had the responsibility to expand the company’s activity into the northern rocky mountain states and Alaska with our core clients. Kevin has a diverse background in providing services to oil refining, chemical, fuel terminals, power and consumer products facilities. He has held management positions with Brinderson and prior to that with Corey Delta, Nova Group, Matrix Services and GSI Western. His experience covers all aspects of the services including project pursuits and initiation, site management, labor management, project controls, training and overall project performance. He and his wife Lacee have four children and two dogs. He enjoys backyard barbecues with his large extended family.
Chris Sanders
Vice President, Legal & Human Resources
Mr. Sanders has more than 19 years of legal experience, including 15 years as a private practice labor and employment attorney representing employers. He joined Aegion Energy Services in 2018 as its Vice President & Global Employment Counsel. Since 2021, he has also served as Aegion Energy Services’ Vice President of Legal & Human Resources.
Dennis Truitt
Vice President, Health & Safety
Mr. Truitt joined Aegion Energy Services in 2015. He has more than 30 years of managing health and safety in the highly regulated oil refining/petrochemical industry. Dennis holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine, California.Prior to joining Aegion Energy Services, he held several senior level positions in occupational health and safety and has experience working both as a client and contractor.
Michael Wolf
Senior Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Strategic Planning
Mike has 40 years of experience working with large international engineering and construction companies. For Aegion Energy Services, he leads all business development activities including sales, marketing and strategic planning. Prior to joining Aegion Energy Services, he was Group Vice President of Business Development for CB&I’s Global Market Sectors, which included offshore and pipelines, refining and petrochemicals, gas processing, LNG, nuclear and steel plate structures. In addition, he held senior posts with Fluor for more than 23 years, including operations management in Europe, Africa and the Middle East and leading marketing and business development across the globe for its petroleum and petrochemical markets. Mike is a registered professional engineer and has a degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University.
Enrique Zarate
Vice President, Safety Services
Enrique “Henry” Zarate has more than 28 years of industrial health, safety, and environmental experience. He is a pioneer in the safety services profession and brought this expertise to Aegion in 2011. He is currently managing all of safety services throughout the Western United States for major oil & gas clients. Previously for Aegion, Henry was Vice President of Safety, Health, Security, and Environmental where he directed a large staff of safety professionals that guided 2800 employees. Prior to joining the Aegion team, Henry held several senior level safety and operations positions working in the industrial sector.
